There is History here in the making – Congratulations to Nick Uren (#16) who brings up his 200th A-grade Game against Renmark 24/5/14. Nick didn’t play under 18’s footy at all. He went straight from 15 and under to playing A-grade at Loxton.
The above mentioned amazing achievement is something which doesn’t happen to often in football these days, and he proved this to be the right choice, by winning the Peter Frankcom Best First Year Player in 1997.
A True Champion of Our club, Nicko joins an elite list of another five footballers, who have achieved this 200 A-grade games milestone for the Loxton Tigers. They are Baker, Westy, Big Mick, Matty and Blev. Nick becomes the sixth player to do this.
In the eighteenth season since his debut at the club, he is still going strong, taking sixteen marks against Barmera filling a hole down back, not letting nothing get past him in true Tiger style. Like the Legends that have pulled on the Guernsey before him, all Nicko wants is for Loxton to win another Premiership, while he is still running around in the black and the yellow. He will never stop stop stop till we are top top top!
